Y Ty, a mountainous commune in Bat Xat district (Lao Cai province), located on a rocky mountain area about 2,000m above sea level, is always a "dream place" and an interesting destination for many backpackers, especially during the ripe rice season. Every early autumn, this place becomes even more strangely beautiful because of the shimmering yellow color of the rice fields stretching out like steps to heaven.
05:00: Car & tour guide pick you up at the meeting point, depart to Lao Cai via Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. On the way, the group stops to rest and have breakfast (breakfast is at your own expense).
11:00: Arrive in Lao Cai city, have lunch at the restaurant.
13:30: You continue your journey to Y Ty.
Upstream of the Red River, the car takes you to Lung Po, stopping to admire the scenery and take photos as souvenirs at the starting point of the Red River flowing into Vietnam. Along the way, the group also admires the terraced fields stretching along the mountainside. Depending on the time of visit, you will experience the scene of flooded fields or the green of young rice fields or the golden color of ripe rice,...
16:00: The group will arrive at the land of "thousands of clouds" Ngai Thau. You will "hunt clouds" on the trip to this 2000m high land. On the high peaks of the road to Ngai Thau - Y Ty, you will witness a spectacular scene of clouds and sky before your eyes. Words probably cannot describe the beauty of white clouds rolling into large clusters drifting gently across the high mountains - where you are stopping.
Evening: The group returns to the center of Y Ty to check in at the motel or homestay. You are free to visit Y Ty with its rustic rammed earth houses lying quietly in the mist and clouds of the highlands, creating a beautiful picture of nature and human life in this peaceful highland land.
Evening: You will have dinner with dishes imbued with the identity of the highlands, enjoying warm glasses of wine in the cold weather.
Morning: The group has breakfast and then checks out.
Then the car and tour guide take the group to visit the Y Ty Park village (Choan Thoen) - the affectionate name of the locals and tourists when they come to the open space at the end of the road through Choan Then village. If you are lucky enough to come here on a beautiful day, this place will be an ideal place to watch the clouds. The local children also often play here and you can freely play or chat with them.
10:00: You will get on the bus to depart for Muong Hum. On the way, you can stop to admire the Trinh Tuong houses like giant mushrooms made of earth growing in the middle of the old forest of the Ha Nhi people, learn about the customs and lifestyle of the people here.
The group will also pass through the old forest of Y Ty - this is a primeval forest with rich and diverse flora and fauna with rare woods and herbs, cool climate all year round covered in fog...
11:30: The group arrives at Muong Hum at noon. You will join the highland market that takes place every Sunday with charming scenery and bustling people and horses. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the outstanding cultural identities of the highland market "Warm human love, colorful flowers".
Noon: The group will rest and have lunch at Muong Hum to enjoy delicious stream fish.
After lunch, you will get on the bus back to Hanoi.
Afternoon: You will return to Hanoi, go to the original pick-up point, say goodbye and see you again in the next program.
