Refund and cancellation policy
To ensure the best interests of our guests when booking a cruise tour, each cruise line applies its own cancellation and refund policy depending on group size, departure date, and travel season.
Below are the detailed cancellation policies of each cruise currently operating in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay.
1. Athena Cruise
Holiday Seasons
- 45 days or more before arrival: Group bookings (from 5 cabins or more) or charter – 100% cancellation fee applies.
High & Low Seasons
- More than 45 days before arrival: No charge.
- 45 – 30 days before arrival:
- From 5 cabins or more: 50% charge.
- Under 5 cabins: Free cancellation.
- 30 – 15 days before arrival:
- From 5 cabins or more: 70% charge.
- Under 5 cabins: Free cancellation.
- 15 – 04 days before arrival:
- From 5 cabins or more: 100% charge.
- Under 5 cabins: 50% charge.
- Within 4 days or No-show: 100% charge.
2. Aspira Cruise
Group of 1 – 3 cabins
- More than 7 days before departure: No charge.
- 3–7 days before departure: 50% charge.
- Less than 3 days before departure: 100% charge.
Group of 4 – 10 cabins
- More than 20 days: No charge.
- 9–19 days: 50% charge.
- Less than 9 days: 100% charge.
Group of 11 – 18 cabins
- More than 30 days: No charge.
- 15–29 days: 50% charge.
- Less than 14 days: 100% charge.
Group of 19 cabins or more / Charter
More than 50 days: No charge.
- 30–49 days: 30% charge.
- 20–29 days: 50% charge.
- 15–19 days: 75% charge.
- Less than 14 days: 100% charge.
All groups: No-show – 100% charge.
3. Catherine Cruise
Low & High Seasons
- 14 days or more before arrival: No penalty.
- 7 days before arrival: 50% charge.
- Within 7 days or No-show: 100% charge.
Holiday Seasons
- 21 days or more before arrival: No penalty.
- 14 days before arrival: 50% charge.
- Within 14 days or No-show: 100% charge.
4. Indochine Cruise
- Bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable when the cruise is permitted to operate as usual.
5. Stellar of the Seas Cruise
- Bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable under normal operating conditions.
- In case the cruise must suspend operation due to weather conditions or epidemics, guests may choose to:
- Receive a 100% refund within 90 days from the departure date; or
- Reschedule the trip (subject to availability).
6. Mon Chéri Cruise
- Bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable when the cruise is permitted to operate as usual.
7. Paradise Cruise
Group of 1 – 3 cabins
- 7 days or more before departure: Free cancellation.
- Less than 7 days: 100% charge.
Group of 4 – 6 cabins
- 21 days or more: Free cancellation.
- 20–7 days: 50% charge.
- Less than 7 days: 100% charge.
Group of 7 – 10 cabins
- 45 days or more: Free cancellation.
- 45–31 days: 25% charge.
- 30–21 days: 50% charge.
- 20–10 days: 75% charge.
- Less than 10 days: 100% charge.
Group of 11 cabins or more / Full charter
- Cancellation and refund policy will be confirmed individually for each group.
- Cancellations without prior notice: 100% charge.
General Notes
- Any applicable refunds (if any) will be processed within 90 working days.
- Policies may vary depending on the cruise line and period of travel.
- In case of force majeure (bad weather, epidemics, or government orders), the cruise reserves the right to adjust or reschedule departures without additional charges.
