Train Tickets – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are established in accordance with the laws of Vietnam by our Legal Advisory Team. All matters arising before, during, or after your booking on our website will be governed by Vietnamese law.

If you do not agree with any of the terms stated below, please leave this website immediately. Continued use of this website constitutes your acceptance of these terms, and you agree not to file any future claims or disputes.

1. Booking Conditions

Please provide the following information during the booking process (which can be updated later via email):

• Full name as shown on passport
• Passport information
• Email address and phone number

You must review and confirm all information before making payment to avoid amendment fees.The amendment fee is USD 10, plus any additional costs (if applicable).

Payment should be made immediately after booking to secure the validity of the ticket. We will check ticket availability and confirm your booking via email within 24 hours. For tickets with later departure dates, confirmation or notification will be sent at least 3 days before departure.

If the selected ticket type is sold out or unavailable due to unforeseen reasons, we may offer an alternative ticket via email, with or without extra charges. If no response is received, subsequent actions (such as cancellation or reissuance) may proceed automatically due to limited internet access during travel.

Ticket prices may increase by 20%–30% and availability is limited, especially during peak travel seasons such as Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year (December 15 – February 22 annually). We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund bookings if tickets are no longer available.

If you are booking on behalf of another person, please ensure their information is accurate and that they are aware of our Terms & Conditions.

2. Ticket Changes / Cancellations & Refunds

Any changes (via phone, email, or internet) to an existing booking will incur a USD 10 service fee and may result in fare differences. Passengers are strongly advised to check their itinerary carefully before booking to avoid additional charges.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings and issue full refunds with or without prior notice.

A. North–South Train

• 30% of ticket price: Cancellation or modification after booking confirmation
• 50% of ticket price: After ticket issuance
• 80% of ticket price: Cancellation/modification within 5–7 days before departure
• 100% of ticket price: Cancellation/modification within 3 days before departure
• 100% of ticket price: No-show

B. Sapa Train

• 40% of ticket price: Cancellation or modification after booking confirmation
• 60% of ticket price: After ticket issuance
• 100% of ticket price: Cancellation/modification within 10 days before departure
• 100% of ticket price: No-show

3. Child & Infant Policy

• Children under 4 years old (on departure date): Free of charge if sharing a bed with parents.
• Children from 4 to under 10 years old: Pay 95% of the adult fare for North–South trains and vice versa.
• For trains between Hanoi – Sapa, children must pay the full adult fare if they require a separate bed.

4. Payment

Please book and make payment immediately to secure valid tickets.

There are two payment methods available:

• Online payment via OnePay.vn, accepting all major cards (Credit, Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
• Bank transfer – please email booking@wonderingvietnam.com to receive bank account details.

5. Ticket Prices

All ticket prices are listed in Vietnamese Dong (VND) and must be paid in VND according to the exchange rate published by Vietcombank.com.vn on the payment date.

Passengers are responsible for all fees, taxes, and obligations arising from the use of our services. Ticket prices apply to one-way trips only and include service fees but exclude a 4% banking fee.

6. Changes to the Agreement

We reserve the right to amend any part of these Terms without prior notice.

You are encouraged to review these Terms & Conditions regularly; continued use of this website indicates your acceptance of any modifications.

7. E-Ticket Confirmation

If you do not receive your e-ticket within 24 hours after payment, please contact us via email at booking@wonderingvietnam.com (available 24/7).

If no response is received from you, we will consider the e-ticket delivered and will not accept any complaints regarding non-receipt thereafter.
