Overview

Ta Xua (2,865m) is a mountain with 3 peaks in Tram Tau, Yen Bai (now Tram Tau Commune, Lao Cai Province). Many people confuse Ta Xua Mountain with Ta Xua range in Son La. If you choose trekking, you will follow the Tram Tau - Yen Bai route, while Son La has a road for cars under 30 seats.

This mountain is considered a legend by travel enthusiasts, because of its majestic scenery with peaks rising in the middle of the sea of clouds, a giant turtle-head rock jutting out from the edge of the cliff and a series of mountains resembling the back of a dinosaur. Although not in the top 10 highest peaks in Vietnam, Ta Xua is still a difficult challenge. The terrain here is diverse with long slopes, covered with moss-covered old forests, requiring endurance and the will to conquer. But in return, the spectacular scenery from this height will definitely make all the effort worthwhile.

19:00: Car & tour guide pick you up at the meeting point, get on the car and depart to Xim Vang, Bac Yen (Son La) (travel time is about 5h30p)

01:00: Arrive at the motel in Bac Yen, check in and rest to have the best health for the trekking trip.

06:00: The group wakes up, prepares personal belongings according to the instructions, then moves to have breakfast.

08:00: The group gets on the bus to move to the foot of the mountain at Hang Chu

09:15: At the foot of the mountain, the group leaves their belongings, then warms up and the tour guide will arrange a motorbike taxi for the members to move from Hang Chu to the climbing point. The group will start trekking from here.

11:30: The group rests and has lunch. Then continues the journey to the top of Ta Xua.

14:00: The group reaches the top of Ta Xua, you receive medals and take photos to check in.

16:30: Expected to arrive at the campsite, you rest and enjoy ginger tea - coffee while watching the beautiful sunset here.

18:00: Enjoy dinner, then spend the night in a windproof wooden hut with blankets and insulation mats to keep you warm.

05:30: You wake up, sip a cup of hot coffee or ginger tea and move to the sunrise viewing point (about 5 minutes). Those who do not want to watch the sunrise can wake up later.

07:00: The group has breakfast then packs up and prepares to go down the mountain.

08:00: Trek down the mountain to Cong village, from here the group will cross the majestic Dinosaur's back, the famous Turtle Head to reach the foot of the mountain

Noon: You rest, have lunch then get on the bus to return to Tram Tau.

14:30: You bathe in hot mineral water at Tram Tau, soak and relax after the trek.

15:30: You get on the bus back to Hanoi.

18:30: The group has dinner at a restaurant on the way.

22:00: Expected to arrive in Hanoi, car takes you back to the original pick-up point, say goodbye and see you again in the next program.

Tour trekking Phu Sa Phìn – Tà Xùa là hành trình đáng nhớ cho những ai đam mê chinh phục núi rừng Tây Bắc. Đường đi có nhiều đoạn dốc cao, khá thử thách, nhưng bù lại cảnh sắc vô cùng hùng vĩ. Tôi đặc biệt ấn tượng với biển mây Tà Xùa – từng lớp mây trắng xóa tràn xuống thung lũng như sóng biển. Đêm ngủ ở lán giữa rừng, nghe tiếng gió và chim rừng, mang lại cảm giác gần gũi thiên nhiên hiếm có.

Tôi thích nhất khoảnh khắc đứng trên đỉnh Phu Sa Phìn nhìn về dãy núi Tà Xùa hùng vĩ. Cảnh hoàng hôn và bình minh ở đây đẹp đến nghẹt thở. Tour được tổ chức chuyên nghiệp, có porter hỗ trợ mang đồ nên hành trình bớt nặng nhọc. Bữa ăn nóng hổi giữa núi rừng là một trải nghiệm thú vị, làm chuyến đi thêm đáng nhớ.
