Tour Itinerary View Details

05:00: Car & tour guide pick you up at the meeting point, start the journey to Hoa Binh Lake (now Phu Tho province). On the way, the group stops to rest and have breakfast (you pay for breakfast yourself).

08:00: Arrive at Bich Ha Port, you will get on the boat to visit Hoa Binh Lake - known as "the green pearl in the Northwest mountains and forests" - an eco-tourism destination with poetic natural scenery. With clear water, a quiet lake surface and peaceful villages on both sides of the river, this place attracts tourists by its wild beauty and unique experiences.

The boat stops for you to explore Thac Bo Cave - a sacred space with magical stalactites and stalagmites associated with the relic complex of Ba Chua Thuong Ngan temple, who helped King Le Loi quell the rebellion in the North. This was also a shelter for many merchants traveling up and down the Da River when encountering big waves and strong winds.

You will visit Thac Bo Temple - the place to worship Mrs. Dinh Thi Van (Lady Thac Bo) who once called on people to donate food to feed the Lam Son army to fight against the Ming Dynasty.

Noon: You will return to the boat for lunch.

13:30: The boat will take you back to the pier, the group will go ashore to visit the Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant - a century-old project of Vietnam built in 15 years with the help of the Soviet Union.

You will visit:

  • President Ho Chi Minh Monument: located on Ong Tuong Hill. The monument depicts Uncle Ho in simple clothes, with a kind smile. From afar, it looks like Uncle Ho is visiting Hoa Binh, visiting the farmers, the vast rice fields.
  • Memorial to Vietnamese and Soviet citizens who sacrificed their lives during the construction of the plant. Learn more about the history, the difficulties in building the plant as well as the friendship between the Vietnamese and Soviet peoples.
  • Letter to future generations: the letter is placed in the concrete block in the Factory campus. Let's find out why there is this letter and why it is "opened on January 1, 2100"

15:00: You get on the bus to continue the journey to Ban Lac - Mai Chau, which has long been considered the "capital of the Thai people".

Passing Thung Khe Pass (also known as White Stone Pass), you stop to take photos on the pass. The cold and sad white stone mountain scenery feels like being lost in an ancient film set or a fairy scene on the top of a snowy mountain. There are also days in Thung Khe with light sunshine, clear skies, gentle clouds, and everything awakens in the fresh green color of trees and grass.

17:30: Arrive in Mai Chau, the group checks in and rests.

18:00: You have dinner at a traditional Thai stilt house with specialties bearing the flavor of the Northwest mountains and forests.

19:30: After dinner, you can participate in activities, cultural exchange programs, dances and singing of Thai ethnic boys and girls, drink rice wine, light a campfire, etc. or freely stroll around Mai Chau at night. Overnight in Mai Chau.

06:00: Get up early to enjoy the fresh air of the Northwest mountains and have breakfast.

08:00: After breakfast, the tour guide will take you on a walk to explore Mai Chau Valley:

  • Visit Lac village: surrounded by majestic mountains and green rice fields, along with the gentle sound of the babbling stream, Lac village appears peaceful and relaxing.
  • Visit Pom Coong village: home to nearly 70 households and more than 300 residents, mainly Muong and Thai people, ethnic groups that have long been attached to this land, so the village stands out with a harmonious lifestyle by the river and among the vast fields. The traditional stilt houses here are built about 2 meters above the ground, creating a rustic beauty close to nature.
  • Explore and learn about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai and Muong ethnic groups, etc.
  • Visit brocade and handicraft production facilities. You can buy some as gifts for your loved ones

Lunch: You will have lunch at the restaurant.

14:00: After lunch, you will get on the bus back to Hanoi, once again experiencing the majestic scenery of the mountains and forests you have passed.

17:30: Arrive in Hanoi, the bus will take you back to the original pick-up point, say goodbye and see you again in the next program.
