Overview
The Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - Tay Yen Tu relic complex is a complex of historical, cultural and famous scenic spots in Bac Giang province, associated with the formation and development of the Truc Lam Zen sect. Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, also known as Duc La Pagoda, is an important Buddhist center, the birthplace of the Truc Lam Zen sect, and is home to many valuable cultural heritages such as Buddhist scripture woodblocks. Tay Yen Tu is the western slope of the Yen Tu mountain range, where there are many pagodas, towers and historical and cultural relics associated with the Truc Lam Zen sect.

06:00: Car & tour guide pick you up at the meeting point, the group begins the spiritual journey to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - Tay Yen Tu. On the way, the car stops at a rest stop so you can have breakfast (at your own expense).
08:30: Visit Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - this is the birthplace of the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam Zen sect of Vietnamese Buddhism, where an ancient set of scriptures is preserved, covering an area of 10 rooms. These scriptures are from 700 years ago, an extremely valuable collection of books - called the wooden archive by the ancients. In July 2025, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Bo Da Pagoda, along with Yen Tu - Con Son Kiep Bac, were recognized by UNESCO as world cultural heritages.
09:30: The group gets on the bus to move to Tay Yen Tu (distance 70km - 1h45p by car). Tay Yen Tu tourist area is located on the western slope of Yen Tu mountain range, built to recreate the path of propagating Buddhism of the founders of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect.
Noon: Arrive at Tay Yen Tu tourist area, you will have lunch at the restaurant.
14:00: After lunch, you will begin your journey to visit Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area with the following items:
- Ha Pagoda: also known as Phat Quang Thien Tu, located at an altitude of 250m above sea level, including a complex of worship items such as Tam Quan gate, Tien Duong, Thuong Dien, To house, Hoa Nghiem bell tower,... The pagoda was built on the western slope of Yen Tu mountain range, is the first stop in the complex of three great pagodas (Ha Pagoda, Trung Pagoda, Thuong Pagoda)
- Trung Pagoda: located on the way to Thuong Pagoda connecting from Ha Pagoda, Trung Pagoda is part of the complex of Buddhist architectural works built to recreate the path of propagating Buddhism of Buddha King Tran Nhan Tong.
- Thuong Pagoda: also known as Linh Thong Thien Tu, located at an altitude of 895m above sea level, is a place with a special terrain, leaning against the mountain, facing the sea. This is where the woodblock set "Cu tran lac dao phu" from Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is kept, one of the famous works of Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong engraved in the Thien Tong ban hanh sutra, clearly showing the ideology and values of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhism.
- Dong Pagoda: Crossing Yen Tu range, come to Dong Pagoda - the most famous place in the Yen Tu scenic relic complex, the destination of all monks, nuns, Buddhists, and tourists from all over the world when making a pilgrimage to the sacred land of Yen Tu.
- In addition, you can also experience other areas at Tay Yen Tu tourist area such as: Tu Dai Garden, Infinity Bridge, Buddha's Footprints and the life path of Buddha Hoang, ...
You will experience the journey by cable car from the Lower Temple to the Upper Temple with a total length of 2.1km.
17:00: The car takes the group back to Hanoi, to the original pick-up point, say goodbye and see you again in the next program.
