Overview
The Pac Bo – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave 2-Day-1-Night Tour is a journey to explore the poetic and historic borderland of Cao Bang. 6:00 – 6:30: The tour guide picks you up at the meeting point and starts the trip to Cao Bang by highway (Hanoi – Lang Son – Cao Bang). You will stop at a rest stop for breakfast (self-paid). On the way, pass Bong Lau Pass, a famous place from the 1950 Autumn-Winter campaign.
11:30: Have lunch in Cao Bang city, then continue to Pac Bo.
14:00: Arrive at Pac Bo, about 50 km from Cao Bang. You will visit the Pac Bo Historical Site, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from 1941 to 1945. The group will take photos at Le Nin Stream, Karl Marx Mountain, visit Coc Bo Cave, and stop at the Kilometer Zero sign of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. On the way back, the group will visit the memorial site of Kim Dong, a young national hero.
18:00: Arrive back in Cao Bang city. Enjoy dinner and check in at the hotel. In the evening, you are free to explore Cao Bang at night. Overnight stay in Cao Bang.
6:30: Check out of the hotel and have breakfast. After breakfast, start exploring the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark, which covers over 3,275 km². This area holds over 500 million years of history, with fossils, volcanic rocks, and mineral formations. In 2018, it was recognized by UNESCO as a Global Geopark. On the way, enjoy the view of Ma Phuc Pass.
9:00: Arrive in Ban Gioc. Visit and take photos at
- Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger Cave) – one of the most beautiful caves in northern Vietnam, famous for its amazing stalactites and stalagmites in many shapes.
- Khuoi Ky Stone Village – a 400-year-old village in Trung Khanh, known for its unique stone stilt houses with ancient beauty typical of the Northeast mountains.
- Ban Gioc Waterfall – 53 meters high with 3 levels, this is one of the most stunning waterfalls in Vietnam. It is also the 4th largest waterfall among the world’s top 10 border waterfalls.
12:30: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, return to Cao Bang city, stopping on the way to visit Phuc Sen blacksmith village, famous for handmade knives.
15:00: Arrive in Cao Bang city. Transfer to a luxury Limousine and continue the trip back to Hanoi. (Dinner at your own expense during a rest stop.)
21:00: Arrive in Hanoi. Goodbye and see you again!
Note: In addition to the restriction on vehicles over 16 seats in the Old Quarter during pick-up and drop-off times, on weekends, many streets are closed to vehicles for the walking street activities. Therefore, we will drop off passengers only at the Hanoi Opera House or nearby, depending on the situation. We appreciate your understanding.
